Imbruvica

A MyLeukemiaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Goodyear, AZ

I'm on medicare and AARP United Health care and RX plan but they don't cover very much of the cost. I have a grant but it will soon be gone. Any helpful suggestions for affording Imbruvica?

Contact the manufacturer of your medication. Sometimes they help.

I live in MS not old enough for Medicare yet, but I do have a Medicaid type insurance here called Magnolia Health and all I pay is $1.00 co-pay but I had to get through a lot of red tape with them in order to get a PA (pre-authorization). I know the feeling when I found out how expensive this medicine was. Check around from where you are from about a supplemental Medicaid insurance. Hang in there !

Call the manufacturer of the drug, a lot of the times they will give a year supply at no cost

I don’t have the answer to this. I’m starting Calquence this month and it is 2,000 over what Medicare and my gap insurance pays monthly. The Doctor has applied for help for the extra 2,000 per month but I go on the 6th to see what he says! It shouldn’t be this way...... What do those that have no Insurance do? 😢
