My specialist said to take the vaccine. I have not as yet bothered simply because they keep running out of it and scheduling is crazy. I don't feel I need to be in a hurry so I am waiting until it settles down more and doses become available regularly. I feel safe actually as I am mainly because i am not a person who has to be out in the public a lot. The vaccine will make many of us feel safer but we have to remember that it is like the flu shot. It isn't a cure and it doesn't mean you can't get covid. It just means that you may not get it as severely and that is truly what matters. That is a different kind of safe I think but one that is important.
My doctor advised me to take the vaccine when it is available to me. However each person is unique so please check with your provider to know what is best for you.
Hi. I think you should consult your CML physician. Every body is different and each TKI has their own set of side effects. Please call your doctor for advice. Good luck and stay safe and well. Hugs..
I've had vaccine and booster. My grandson even had covid in my home and I didn't get it, Thank you Jesus. I take gleevec. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not? Glad you feeling better now.
I’ve had both my shots and am tremendously relieved. Be sure to check with your oncologist.
