Has Anyone Had A High Hematocrit Count?
In all the years I've been having blood work done (6), my Hematocrit count has always been within range. Test results now showing a high count. Have done my research and shall discuss with Doctor next week when I go for my appointment. Just wondering if anyone else has had or does have a high Hematocrit count.
Hi Soulmate,
No idea but then most of the information from my consultant goes over my head, On his last report it said=
1. Chronic B cell lymphoproliferative Disorder<
2. Original presentation classified at atypical CLL- FISH panel negative
( lymphoid subtype not fully specified}
3. Progressive disease April 22 - re-work up-final SIHND diagnosis atypical CLL ( prolymphocytic element noted on peripheral blood and trephine)
4.Treatment plan to start Venetoclax and Obinutuzumab.
5. Signs of Significant splenomegaly and high white blood cell count.
So that's where I am at, I feel really well, still exercise every day and go jogging each morning. Though at the moment I am on 100 mg of Venetocvlax and other meds with no side effects whatsoever. My daughter has banned me from exercising in the kitchen as I do stomach crunches while the kettle boils and whenever I come down the stairs when at the bottom, I do 20 x squats. Daaaaad stop it, you're not in the Army anyore. . My nick name for my daughter is= SWMBO>; She Who Must Be Obeyed.
So, everyone that's my lot, keep safe and keep smiling.
Soultime
A healthy person should drink a gallon of water a day.
That’s hard to do 🤣.
I don’t know what medicine you are taking but I do know some of our meds can dehydrate us .
Hugs and prayers
And yes we want to know what your Dr says .

I usually run on the anemic side... "norms" are usually 12-15 (truthfully don't know upper bound). We are happy if my hemoglobin reaches double digits. My Dr is happy if it's above 9.... ecstatic above 10... rarely reach 11/12... but one thing you can ask yourself is if you are drinking enough fluids... as you become dehydrated, all your blood counts get more concentrated and there for "appear" to be higher. If no symptoms I wouldn't worry... and as I've mentioned in other posts the normal range slightly changes from lab to lab and hospital to hospital. In general, if you are even near normal range and the Dr doesn't comment, don't stress about. Last I'll say my Dr always says big difference between a 7 - 8, an 8-9, and 9 vs over 10!
I am doing well. Our condo will be finished with renovations following Hurricane Ian by June middle of it. I go back for my semi Annual visit of my regular doctor the middle of July. Going to Oklahoma City for a week to visit my son and family. Looking forward to getting away. Hope all is well with you.
This is my recipe for beet juice:
1/4 raw beet
1/3 cucumber 🥒
4 to 5 celery sticks
3 to 4 carrots🥕
2 slices of pineapple🍍
1/2 apple🍎
I make a double batch and freeze it so it stays fresh and retains vitamin value and thaw out as I use it
