Palliative Care: Improving Quality of Life With Leukemia at Any Stage Read Article...

Well said Moyra. Where I live, Seattle, I find take-aways every day. One is that most practices dictate that you see all of their docs or none. I was looking for an Orthopedist at UW Medical and told I was not "allowed" even though I have very good insurance. Another is the flipping of practices to optimize profits (only). My current group Polyclinic was purchased by Optim. I was "forced" to sign their agreement for their MyChart system that allows you to communicate with my doctor. Since I refused, I was shut out. Now the only way to reach him is M-F, 9-5. Basically bankers hours. And we wonder why ER's are a mess.
