My PCP suggested I see an oncologist and have been seeing one for 2 1/2 years. Recently had a PET/CT scann which shows the extent of affected lymphnodes throughout the body. Mine are quite extensive. You might want to follow the same process if you haven't started to already

Yes GERD is a possibility as is a lymph node, or perhaps you need to get your thyroid checked out..go to the doc.
