Your story is encouraging I hope I can live another seven years. I love my sweets as well, but I only use sugar in my coffee in the morning and that's it my son says all overdose on sugar. Thank you for your response, best wishes.
I do not know about sugar and CML. I have had CML since 1998, and I am a diabetic. I am not as strict as I should be with my sugar, as I love my sweets. I just know that I have been Treatment Free Remission now for almost 7 years. I think we are all different in how things effect us. Its always a good thing to manage your sugar intake anyhow.
Unfortunately I can’t speak to sugar/CML as I am being treated for AML. I do know for a fact that all refined sugar ( candy, cookies, pastries) cause inflammation and pain. I did my own little clinical research study on myself BEFORE my AML diagnosis. I cut out refined sugar by 50% and within 3-4 days felt a 70-80% relief from swelling and joint pain!
You might just give it a try if you eat surgery foods. Good luck!
