I think it is odd that the experts do not tell us what we require to understand our results? I have learned and I now understand the results. When I look at my sample results on my computer the document indicates the normal range alongside the test result. I think this helps the medical people understand the test results?

Hey Deb, could you mention the name of that blood book? I agree about the knowledge and am convinced that you have to be your best advocate,

Hi Mickie. I would definitely find another oncologist. There is sooooo much more that this "disease" entails as far as blood work. Results that are low, regardless of your hemoglobin is NOT a good sign, nor acceptable.

My doctor would only tell me to “not worry” during my 5 minute visits? Ask for a copy of your results and then ask what is normal for each section. Then ask for other test results so you can see the changes and understand the trend? My blood tests come to me at home and each section indicates normal percentages so it is easy to notic an abnormal result. Good luck with your new skill of reading your test results and asking new questions?
