Are you experiencing bone and joint pain even though your CLL is in remission?

It's not uncommon to experience bone and joint pain even when CLL is in remission. Several MyLeukemiaTeam members have shared similar experiences.

Possible causes of your pain:

- Lingering effects from CLL: Even in remission, some people continue to experience symptoms. One member noted that CLL seems to magnify preexisting conditions, so if you had any chronic pain before diagnosis, it might feel worse now.

- Treatment side effects: Some targeted therapy medications can cause joint and bone pain as a side effect, even after treatment ends. Members have reported pain in feet, elbows, knees, hands, and lower back related to their treatments.

- Other health conditions: Bone and joint pain can also come from comorbidities like arthritis or other age-related conditions that aren't directly related to CLL.

What you should do:

It's important to discuss this pain with your doctor. They can help determine whether it's related to your CLL history, treatment side effects, or another condition entirely. They may recommend pain management strategies or investigate other potential causes.

You're not alone in dealing with this - many members continue to manage various symptoms even during remission.

I think we can all be affected by our illness in interesting ways. I had been visiting the gym 3 times a week to ensure that my body holds together longer? I do not think my family has muscle or join problems so that is another factor. I hope you can find a solution to resolving this issue?
