Are the bone and joint pains related to CLL even though your blood work is clear?

It's great that your blood work came back clear after 5 years in remission. However, bone and joint pain can still occur in people with CLL history, even when blood counts look normal.

Pain in the legs, collarbone, ribs, and hip could have several explanations:

* Lingering effects from previous CLL treatments
* Side effects if you're on any maintenance therapy
* Unrelated musculoskeletal issues that need separate evaluation
* Rarely, early signs of CLL becoming active again before it shows up in blood work

Since you're experiencing persistent pain in multiple areas, it's important to discuss these symptoms with your oncologist or healthcare team. They may want to:

* Review your complete medical history and current medications
* Perform a physical examination of the painful areas
* Consider additional tests beyond routine blood work if needed
* Rule out other causes of bone pain

Don't hesitate to report new or worsening symptoms between regular check-ups, even when routine blood tests are normal. Your care team can help determine what's causing the pain and recommend appropriate management strategies.

I do not have any pains and I am very active. I think those bad cells do find a way of attacking areas in the body that can be painful. I take medication and my blood tests indicate 100% with WBC count at 7,300. I am very active and visit the gym 3 times a week. I hope you have kept your body healthy and flexible with exercises to help you stay healthy.
