My weight February 2024 was 308
I was unable to walk without walker.
Watching YouTube videos on Carnivore diet.
Decided to actually give it a try.
3 days into it
I say on my couch crying.
I stood up and walked with no help.
My joints no longer hurt?
My general practice doctor had a fit!
You will die!
I contacted Dana Farber cancer center.
They have monitored me from the beginning.
Today I weighed 208.
My diabetes is almost completely normal.
My blood test are amazing too.
My heart test were great.
For me it was getting off processed foods.
No sugar
Lots of water.
Eat till I’m full.
Easiest diet I’ve ever tried.
Only one that actually cures things.
I pray you find something that works for you.

Are you finding it difficult to lose weight while managing CML?

Weight changes with CML can be complex and vary from person to person. Some people with CML experience unintended weight loss, while others may struggle with weight gain or difficulty losing weight.

Several factors related to CML and its treatment can affect your weight:

* Side effects from tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) like fluid retention and swelling
* Fatigue that makes it harder to stay physically active
* Changes in appetite
* Stress and mental health challenges that can impact eating habits

If you're experiencing fatigue, gentle physical activity like short walks or simple yoga stretches might help boost your energy levels and support weight management. Studies show that light aerobic exercise can reduce fatigue and improve sleep quality.

It's important to talk with your cancer care team about your weight concerns. They can help identify whether medication side effects or other factors are contributing to the issue and adjust your treatment plan if needed. They may also check for anemia, which can cause fatigue and make it harder to stay active.

Don't hesitate to discuss all aspects of how you're feeling with your healthcare team - they're there to help you manage both your CML and your overall quality of life.
