Wow John, that's really low. Hoping the doc plans on transfusing you even if it comes up some. Sorry to hear your CLL went into CML. That's probably why you've felt so ruff lately. Keep us posted John, we all care about you. Sending hugs and prayers and please be careful. We need to put you in a bubble suit but just hang in there for now.
Yep, my platelets will at times take nose dives of 25-40,000 in a week. When I was first hospitalized for my MDS and AML, I got as low as 8,000---mine have fun with their size too, at times tiny and at others so large they squeeze out other cells! Leukemia, the teeter-totter of the cancer world! Wishing you well, Michele
I didn't have CLL or CML, I have ALL. When I went to the emergency room, my platellets were at a 2. They airlifted me to the hospital. I was put in a bed and not allowed to get out or move around. I had gotten Platelet and blood transfusions in the ER, and they had to do multiple transfusions of both, Low Platelets mean that you can bleed out very easily, take caution when doing anything. Good Luck, hope the seriods help and your count goes up!
John. Here's to a good and helpful week ahead. I had no idea they could get so low. Please be careful until your medical team gets this figured out. I will be sending best wishes your way. thank you for posting here about this...
Sorry to hear your platelets have gone so low. For 40 years I donated platelets at my local blood bank until my platelets went below 150 limit. 15 yrs later, I now have cll fortunately my platelets haven’t gotten lower….yet. They fall as low as 130 and as high as 160 when Im tested every 3 months. Hang in there. I wish you well!
