My creatine level is high and they told me start my hydration tomorrow before my appt on Wednesday. Any experience with taking this with Calquence or input would be appreciated.
Hello Randy, I took Venetoclax with Obinutuzimab infusions 4 years ago for 12 months. I tolerated the drugs very well, maybe just going to the toilet a bit more often. I had 4 years of remission & now the CLL has returned. My haematologist said I’ll be on Brukinsa next, probably in the next few months. Drinking 1500ml of water a day when on the Venetoclax was a challenge! Good luck.
Sending prayers for your recovery
Randy,
I have been on Venetaclax for 11 months now. I found the initial 6 weeks were the worst of it. According to my oncologist, this was due to the high number of cells dying. Once my counts got lower I started to feel much better.
This past May I started to have bouts of diarrhea which I’m told is the most common side effect. Other than that I feel mostly good. The treatment has been super effective and I am looking forward to wrapping up next month. Good luck with your journey.
Tom
Thank you Donna! The last few weeks have been rough starting on Venclexta but today is a good day. A lot of challenging days over the last few weeks but with prayers and support I keep moving through this storm and asking for help from my team and family. Hope you are doing and well! Sending you back prayers and hugs!
