Common side effects of TKIs that involve pain or discomfort include:

- Joint and bone pain
- Muscle aches
- Headaches
- Swelling (edema)
- Fatigue Some MyLeukemiaTeam members have reported significant joint pain while on targeted therapy — including foot, knee, elbow, and back pain — that comes and goes or can sometimes be severe.

If widespread pain or fatigue is affecting daily life, it's really worth bringing up with the oncology team. They can help figure out whether it's a TKI side effect and may be able to adjust the dose or explore other options.

I think that a person’s general health depends on what ill affects occur? My health has been very good so no strange ill affects. I have not had the seasonal flu in years. Those cells can gather in an area that is ill or damaged. I am active and visit the gym so I see new bruises all the time from stress when I am over active. My legs had and feet had bruises from jogging last summer so I stopped jogging and I am 74. I hope you can solve your issue by changing a habit like I do?
