I think you should pace yourself. It is good to be active but over doing your activity can be stressful to your body. I like to jog and walk. Last year I developed odd bruising from this activity on my legs. I discovered I had PETECHIA or exploding capillaries that would be pinkish day one, greenish second day, third day grayish skin. It took a month for the bruised area to return to normal. I never had any pain problems but my genetics gave me a very high pain level. Each summer I cut and split wood on my property and split wood had cut and hit my legs and feet. My wife thought the injury was a broken bone (I have broken many bones) but there was no pain (broken bones do cause pain.) I know that CLL does cause injuries that did not happen in the past. We should pace ourselves to prevent possible injuries. I do visit the gym 3 times a week but I try no to over do the exercise to cause bruising to develop. I have avoided the elliptical this year to avoid bruising in my legs.
Karen, I hope you find something that gets on top of that pain soon. Please know that many of us deal with pain(of some kind) every day and many of us say we are not what we used to be. But, listen, on my worse days I tell myself this could be a lot worse. So...keep the faith. Look at this as a temporary setback. Who knows, you may not get back to playing 4 days, but still play even if it is a day a week. Sending many hugs. Stay the course my dear Leukemian friend. We are all in this together!
My first year was when I was 71 and very active. I was visiting the gym 3 times a week and using the elliptical running a mile in 9 1/2 minutes. My doctor was shocked I was so active and visiting the gym. The days I did not visit the gym I did 2 hours of property work like cutting weeds or splitting oak for fire wood. I continue to have an active life at 74. I have CLL and I take medication and my life is now 100% normal. My doctor only requests timely blood tests and has remained remote for over a year.
Might be orthopedic as I have a disc issue too. Had mri
Karen , you and I share this Dx, mine came in 2022. Inflamation, arthritis and joint pain comes from the monocytes if high. Its been my worst symptom. I fight thru it though, and use NSAIDS sparingly.
