What Is Up With Wait & Watch? It Seems To Me That CLL Is The Only Diagnosis For Which Early Detection Is Irrelevant. Why Wait To Treat?

What Is Up With Wait & Watch? It Seems To Me That CLL Is The Only Diagnosis For Which Early Detection Is Irrelevant. Why Wait To Treat?

My mind is having difficulty wrapping itself around allowing affected cells to travel through my blood to all parts of my body, and waiting until tumors form to treat. Can anyone explain the logic in this?

I agree about worrying about CLL spreading through my body also! I just keep reminding myself that other types of cancer are so much worse.

I Notice There Is A Difference Between The Postings With People Afflicted With CLL Vs. AML.

I Notice There Is A Difference Between The Postings With People Afflicted With CLL Vs. AML.

Many of the post with CLL it seems like the patients have good and bad days, but they are still able to function and, in some cases, return to work. I have AML and I am constantly looking for some ways to be painless and do stuff like stretching exercises. Between different mixes of Diloded, Methadone, CBD and small doses of THC I am able to find some relief, but I am either stoned (not complaining too much about that) or tired. Does anyone else feel the same way?

After Treatment?

After Treatment?

I have had CLL for possibly 5 years. The first 3 years I had no real symptoms. My question when treated and the treatment works do you feel symptom free? Normal? At least while the treatment is working?

Getting Away

Getting Away

During treatment has anyone been able to travel? We are just at the beginning but I feel like we can't do anything or plan. It's 7 days of chemo in cancer center, then blood work twice a week! The center is 45 minutes from us so we can't do anything else. Monday we spent 3 hours at the center for blood work and all the numbers were good. Has to be a better way.

Any Young Adults With ALL Who Have Had A Bone Marrow Transplant?

Any Young Adults With ALL Who Have Had A Bone Marrow Transplant?

My 24 year old son was diagnosed with ALL just over a year ago. He just underwent a bone marrow transplant (haploidentical) from his brother, down at Dana Farber. Would like to hear the experience of other young adults who may have undergone a bone marrow transplant for ALL, to learn what their experience was like.
