Second Opinion Via Telemedicine
I would like to get a second opinion via telemedicine. Does anyone know how is doing this
I wish I could answer this for you but I don’t know if there is advocates to help you understand and make a decision. I have CLL and have tried to learn all I could about my diagnosis online and from my Oncologist/ Hematologist. I always take a list of questions. It’s complicated, I would write down your questions and take it to your appointment! Prayers that you find your answers🙏🙏
Thanks
I wanted to do a Clinical Trial but there is none near me here in Orlando. Some Clinical Trials only give you the drug that you’ve been put on not a placebo!
You tell your doctor to send a referral to whoever you want to do the second opinion. You can do this more than once you can have two or three second opinions. I am in the process of doing this now. I’m not crazy about the fact that everybody wants you to do a clinical trial. I’ve been on the same regimen for several years and it’s obviously not working I think I should try another regimen rather than to a clinical trial where you don’t know if you’re getting the medication or a placebo you could be wasting your time.
I was referred to u of Chicago. My online visit is tomorrow. I’m angsting about getting so many options, that will include clinical trials, and me a non medical person, is supposed to make an intelligent choice????? Is there something that exists as an advocate in such matters? Going to see if I can find that. If anyone has any insight in such matters please tell me. I will share what I find out also.
