I just had my first appointment after 6 weeks being on the chemo pill. The Dr. said my red blood cells are good but my white blood cells are still to high. Remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint. Eventually your body will start to work with the meds and things will level off. Chin up.
Melissa I’m also on Calquence and I’ve asked this very question of my Doctor and I don’t think there is much you can do other than follow the directions in taking the pill!
I am on Calquence 100 mg every twelve hours.
Thank you, I think when she jumped to getting more aggressive and then went back to its only been 6 weeks I got nervous. This is such a hard roller coaster to be on. God bless and thank you!
Give it a little time . I have been on mine now for 3 months and it is now starting to level out . The WBCs are still way up there but the rest is doing okay for now. I have a wonderful DR. If you have any questions ask your Dr to talk to you about it. I did mine and she is just wonderful is all I can say. I am still tired and hard time breathing some times but that is from my COPD. Hang in there . GOD is with all of us .
