I had a very enlarged spleen when diagnosed with CML. Once the treatment started and my white cell count went down my spleen returned to a normal size. It took maybe 6 months to happen.

I was diagnosed with CEL/HES in 2014. My spleen was nearly the size of a basketball and severely restricting my stomach. I was losing weight fast. After I began treatment with Imatinib it subsided to normal size. Didn't take very long once the Eosinophil count came down close to normal.
