My present oncologist has told me that CLL can come back after remission because I was in remission until this past November. Also, my personal experience is that this go-round has been more aggressive than the first time. So, I've also been told that, with each subsequent relapse, each remission will last a shorter time, and the leukemia will get more aggressive with each relapse. It is true that my experience is just that, my experience, because CLL affects every person differently.
The way it was explained to me by my hematologist, And a former oncologist of mine It will come back eventually. As to how hard it will come back it's up to each individuals Is genetic makeup
Will CLL come back after remission?
When you're diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia it never goes away. Neither does the Acute...Acute is not as favorable from what I understand. It tends to be a fast mover, whereas with Chronic one can have it for a long long time. Everyone is different tho so keep that in mind as well.
I was told the same thing by my oncologist Shadowman.
