Go to eye surgeon as idk your age but I 9yrs later get blurry vision etc daily & cataracts now too. Plus allergic conjunctivitis. Hard tell what’s chemo and or allergies to hereditary But oncology told me same in past so I see eye surgeon they know a a lot
I mentioned to my hematologist nurse who I keep in contact with, that my eyesight was especially poor in the afternoon, and what he told me was to go and see an Optometrist, b****y helpful chap.
Yes there is so sorry for your fall I did fall a while back I was walking my dog and tripped over a small people broke my ankle just enough for it to hurt real bad it’s all healed but not the same
My eye sight has been affected since chemo for leukemia trying to find a good cataract specialist in my area it’s very hard with insurance and money these days it’s so frustrating at times when I want to read small print wish you the best in trying to resolve your eye issues
Mari, Brenda7 again.......I agree with you about the eyesight. Mine seems worse (and I told you about my peri-orbital edema due to Imatinib). I saw the opthomologist every other month last year until he was convinced it was the meds..........just a side effect for me. My vision didn't change and didn't need new glasses but had to get them for I have fluid gathering in my eyebags which causes them to stick to my glasses. Yes, some days I am a fright to look at with drooping eyelids also. But I will check my vision again soon as it is harder to focus. Have you vision checked because this is another target area that the chemo can work on. I might have these crazy fluid filled bags where others might not. So please watch your vision for they are precious. Like I said earlier if vision starts getting very blurry and troublesome, I may have to switch to another TKI. One step at a time.
