I've been taking imatnib for 6 years. I didn't really gain anything for the first couple of years. However the last 3 years I've gain over 30 pounds and I can't seem to lose it. My doctor says it's not the meds but my research says otherwise with this medicine. So I'm asking to see if anyone else has experience weight gain on imatnib.
I have gained weight on Venclexta...the daily pill..Who really knows what causes all the changes that we experience..Oconogist probably do not know how treatments affect everybody..
I've never had acid reflux now it's daily...My bones ache & she says not from the cancer..Sometimes what we all tell each other at least keeps you from feeling like the Lone Ranger...Bless you...
Hi Stephen. I also have acid reflux and my bones ache. I finished talking Venclexta in August. My Dr. Says the same thing. SURPRISE!!!
Know how you feel...Hard to lose weight when your bones & joints hurt..Discovering several things like weight gain, headaches, heart burn that never was a issue before..
Take care and Happy Thanksgiving...we do have alot to be thankful for...
Thanks for the input. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this. I also feel pain in my bones/joints. The weight thing frustrates me because I can't lose it know matter what I try.
Wow...we have learned to listen to our bodies..Why wouldn't our doctors listen to us?
