I am on treatment (calquence) and finding it has little by way of side effects and gives me a great blood profile. Not a cure but close enough to make me very grateful!

My oncologist also said there is no cure for CLL. At least not YET 😇. One day there will be a cure. As someone else said, I am grateful CLL is a slow growing leukemia, so I feel lucky 😊 to have the slow growing kind, if I must have leukemia.
At least I might live a long time. My hope is that I have a good quality of life as I live!😏 Happy Sunday!

I have had CLL for 12 and a half years..so I am convinced there is no cure for sure but I keep Hope in the back of my mind.. when I go to get blood check I always hope that it is ok or better than the last blood test ......I just Don't keep my expectations high that way I am not so Disappointed 😔...

Dennis2, I am not sure WHY you get breathless, but I can tell you when I became short of breath, I saw the cardiologist. And guess what, after the stress test and ultrasound of my heart, I found out I have a mild blockage in my coronary artery. This just happened in the last couple of weeks, now I am schedule a cardiac catheterization with possible stent inserted, if needed. I am telling you this so you check out why you are breathless, or have shortness of breath. So many symptoms we have with our leukemia can also be related to other issues. Do check it out to make sure it is the leukemia and not something else.
You are so smart to get things set up for your kids. It will make is easier for them since grief is no picnic. But as you said...I also hope you have many more years to be with your kids. Dad's are special, especially to daughters, at least it was so true for me and it sounds like it will be true for your daughter too! Dad's are special to their sons too, just different than daughters. 😉 I hope all will be okay!

Debie9 and SrDonna, You are both an inspiration with positive attitudes. I am to some degree the same and I wont give in to this cancer but! I do worry about my girls and my son for I know they will be devastated when I go, especially my daughter. To help my family I have arranged a funeral plan (Just cremation no service) I av gifted my house to my daughter and made my accounts joint accounts and my investments too. My Will is completed so all is organised. Mind, I think I will live for quite a lot longer yet as other than the fatigue and itching I feel well. My daily routine of exercise and weight lifting keeps me focused and well. Just a question? why do I sometimes get breathless just sat watching TV yet weight lifting exercising etc I never get breathless?? Very odd.
