Yes, CLL itself can cause hives and other histamine like skin issues. Bug bites similar in character. BUT if you are just now getting painful blisters you might want to get them checked out by an MD/PA/NP soon to make sure they aren't Shingles which if recognized and treated promptly can be mitigated somewhat. On the other hand, if this is a chronic problem, I would take a look at this https://www.healthline.com/health/chronic-lymph...
Thanks Ken but they are not shingles. I see a dermatologist regularly and have had them biopsied twice for skin cancer as well. They are not cancerous or shingles. My dermatologist is stumped as well. Antibiotics and prednisone help but have not eliminated the breakouts. Last med was Dapsone which didn’t prevent them either. Strange thing is that they occur even though my WBC is not high. Oncologist says they are related to the CLL.
So Martha, you get rashes with blistering (painful and itchy). They make you feel sick, tired and miserably itchy and feverish? Bug bites go systemic.
Hi RaDoyle ! I have the above problem wih CLL ! No bug bites !!
