Hi TrueGrit. Guess you'll know more after CT Scan. Could be carotid artery, node, etc. etc. Have lump on my neck as well...have had for years and years. Ct Scan, ultrasound...which you would think would show something, did not. Couple months ago, my PCP had me go to Ear, nose, throat specialist and it turns out that its my omohyoid muscle..stems from bad accident I was in. I do exercises for the muscle to keep it from getting worse and affecting my speech. Thankful that finally I found an answer and that it was not lymph node or anything serious. Best of luck and let us know what they find:)

I have had a large lymph node on the left side of my neck for over a year. I am finally being scheduled for an ultrasound in June.

The lump in my neck has been there for 6-8 years. Never had an ultrasound until I started seeing a hematologist. Lump has grown a little but not significantly.
