Same answer as my team member Margaret, advised not to take the vaccine. Stay away from those who have Covid signs and I have all same shots as Margaret
I asked my oncologist about a COVID Shot and he said no because he does not want it to effect my liver...ask your doctor but I am getting a flu shot...
Always consult with the Doctors who know you best. I have been encouraged to get all the vaccines that are not live viruses. I am trying to be out in the public more as that is what my job is about. I have had Covid a couple of times and it takes its sweet time leaving me. I struggle with recovery from normal flu and cold infections due to a compromised immune system. So I rely on immunizations to help me build up my system. I will wear a mask if I feel it is necessary and take precautions that will benefit me. I grew up with immunizations for many childhood diseases and my parents made sure we were vaccinated. They watched kids/families go through polio in our neighborhood, they knew about quarantining families due to some of the "fevers" that went around when they were young. That being said--this works for me as I don't have severe reactions and I am following my Doctor's recommendations. Everyone has to do what is best for them. Wishing you all a healthy fall and winter season.--jmb
Having a blonde moment today, forgot to ask my PC about a bone density test, but as far as another Covid 19 test, nope. I had the first 2 when Covid was really going strong, the first shot was ok, the second one i was sick as a dog. I will stick with a flu shot, a pneumonia shot and a whopping cough shot. As i look back on when Covid first came out i had to wonder how in the world did they make a shot for it in 2 months, and would it be effective enough. I had break through Covid in 2022, and here i thought the Covid vac was suppose to prevent you from getting Covid. Apparently not. So I am going to pass on the new Covid vaccine, as if the first one did not prevent Covid to begin with, i don't think this new one would do any better.
I will repeat this suggestion....Talk to your doctor and ask their advice about you getting a Covid Shot....I asked my doctor and he told me because of this issues with my liver he said NO I did get a flu shot and I had a pneumonia shot over a year ago and I am good with that.
