A consistently low white blood cell (WBC) count over several months can be concerning, especially for someone with leukemia. Here are some potential reasons based on my knowledge base:

- Leukemia and Treatment: Both leukemia and its treatments, such as chemotherapy, can significantly lower WBC counts. Chemotherapy targets fast-growing cells, including healthy WBCs.
- Infections: A low WBC count can indicate an ongoing infection, which is common in individuals with compromised immune systems.
- Nutrition: Poor nutrition, including deficiencies in specific vitamins or iron, can also lead to low WBC counts.

It's crucial to discuss these trends with your healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause and appropriate interventions.

Chemo could affect other things in the body besides white blood cells? You reported your white blood cells are very low white means future infection could be a concern? I hope you have no other ill affects from the chemo? I think you should think you should know I think. you are at stage 0 since you have low WBC? I hope you are taking care of your body and eating healthy and exercising.
