Mary 10 I am also 18 months from dx with AML. I guess we beat the odds so far. I am still doing chemo every 5 weeks with decitabine iv for three days and venetaclax 200 mg for seven days. I have been hospitalized three times in that period for pneumonia, RSV and heart problems. My breathing has become an issue with shortness of breath. I am hoping it is from a heart med and not the leukemia or just low numbers for labs? It is scary Mary to hear 18 months and be there now! How about you? But a Sean says we keep punchin and pray.

If you think your immune system is impacted you should be sure that you are taking enough vitamins and supplements to increase your immune system. I take zinc which seems to effect illness since I have been healthy for the past two years. Taking A, B, C, & D helps many different systems in the body.
