I would also add that doctors don't always agree with a treatment plan. I chose the doctor precribing imbruvica because I felt more comfortable with him versus a doctor I precieved as arrogant though more experienced in oncology. Trust your inner self and don't be afraid to seek another opinion.

I was recently off imbruvica for 3 weeks and had no problems. I was hesitant to go back on but Doctor said to continue. Said in a few months he wants to switch me to zerubinib? Something like that. Not sure how it is spelled. No advise for you. I am just doing as the doctor recommends for now. I do wonder how much the doctors are getting paid for subscriptions after learning how much these meds cost. Imbruvica is over 16k a MONTH!!!

I think your doctor is "playing" wait and see with your health? I understand that medication is to "control" the illness and without medication you may be ill again? Before you stop taking medication you should ask if you are stoping because of an ill affect from the medication or if the doctor wants to play "wait and see?" I had asked my medical people if my dosage should be reduced since I had great results. The answer was "NO!" because the change may "affect" the current results versus hoping for continued good results with less medication. Please get the doctors information in writing that this will good for your health and you are not being "experimented" with your health? This is a very simple request which will verify the reason for your choice. Remember that medical people are part of your team and you are the team leader who makes the choice for your improved health. I hope you have good information so that your choice will have a positive effect with your health versus a negative affect to your health.
