Yes, bleeding gums can be a sign of progression in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Here are some key points:

- Thrombocytopenia: CLL can cause a decrease in blood platelet count, known as thrombocytopenia, which affects the blood's ability to clot and can lead to bleeding gums.
- Thrombocytosis: In some cases, CLL may cause an increased blood platelet count, which can also result in bleeding gums.
- Oral Symptoms: Other oral symptoms associated with chronic leukemia include gingivitis, oral lacerations, and loosened teeth.

If you notice unusual bleeding around your gums, it's important to talk to your oncologist to determine the cause and appropriate management.
