Hi Robert, COVID is still around, so be safe. My daughter went to Disneyland last week and now has COVID.
Traveling on a cruise ship with CLL/SLL requires careful consideration due to the increased risk of infections. Here are some precautions based on my knowledge base:
- Masking: Wear N95 masks indoors and in crowded environments
- Vaccinations: Ensure you are up to date with appropriate vaccines, including COVID-19, flu, Show Full Answer
I was on a cruise 2/24. I noticed a few people with masks? I did not use a mask and I managed to walk 4 to 5 miles per day and climb 5 to 12 flights of stairs per day. Generally I think most people are now healthy? At each of the 3 port stops I tried to stay away from crowds. I did visit a Walmart at the first stop which was super crowded. I did eat very healthy and in the past I had gained 10 pounds from eating to much but this time I only gained 2 pounds. The wife paid for another cruise 11/24 so we are going to mix with people again. I think if you take care there should not be a concern with infection on your trip? Each ship does have good medical people to assist ill passengers.
