I was on Decitabine. Side effects were fatigue, nausea/vomiting (until an anti-nausea med was found that worked), and low blood counts, with all the symptoms that low blood cause.
I doubt that there’s anyone taking this med who does not have side effects since it kills healthy cells as well as cancer cells. But it’s effective at getting a lot of people into remission.

Decitabine, also called dacogen, is a drug used to treat adults with myelodysplastic syndromes, including chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. It works by helping the bone marrow produce normal blood cells and by killing abnormal cells in the bone marrow. This is amazing that it can attack bad cells and goes directly to the bone morrow if the information is correct? But the many ill affects is an interesting issue? I hope the people taking this medicine are healthy enough to be not be affected by the medication and have ill affects?
