After serious side effects on 4 TKI's in 3 years My Oncologist wants me to try Scemblix. I am hesitant due to the other side effects. They are also trying to get me approved for financial assistance to cover the cost. If I can't get financial assistance I have decided to just put my health in God's hands.

The Scemblix is extremely expensive but you can find financial assistance like I was able to be accepted for.

How much do these medication cost? I’m still a stage 2, but occasionally I worry about the cost of eventual treatment

Joseph, thank you so much for your answer, it is encouraging. It sounds, like me, you are prone to the side-effects. I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with the Scemblix manufacturer's representative discussing the side-effects and financial aid. I also have Kidney disease which the other TKIs effected in a negative way. She assured me that Scemblix is not as harmful to the kidneys but I will have to watch my blood pressure. Thank you again and I hope the medicine continues to work well for you.

Susan, please don't give up on the TKIs! I have been on Scemblix for a year and 2 months and had the least amount of side effects on this medication. I was on Dasatinib/Sprycel for 3 years and Bosulif/Bosutinib for 3 months. Not many side effects on Sprycel except for fatigue and joint pain. It stopped being effective. Bosulif was brutal with gastro issues and I could not tolerate it. I have even less side effects on Scemblix than Sprycel so I encourage you to give it a try! All the best and prayers to you Susan!
