My medical staff applied to Leukemia Society for a grant to help pay the co-pay which was $3400. I used the grant for 3 months and then my insurance covered 100% of the cost or $15500. I personally think medication is approved as a last method because of the cost? The good news is that there are many organizations which can provide grants to help people afford medication.

Now that I am part of the medical system I realize the cost is high? I think medical staff members are tasked with securing funds or grants? I requested medication and almost 90 passed before I was told everything was done and I was being sent my first months prescription. This important fact should be discussed with people so they know why they are being experimented with during the watch & wait? After I got my prescription the medical people staff were more "share & care" and I got 80% of the answers to my questions versus 20%.
