I choose not to Drink..Not one of my Healthy choices..
My thought only....if you drink in excess or have to have it daily, then no, it will work against your entire immune system which is already compromised. If, you drink in moderation, then I feel it is absolutely ok to do so. Numerous other things can and are just as bad for us....being overweight, drinking soda's every day, a lot of sugar, anxiety, lack of sleep, and basically not taking care of oneself works against us as well....
My wife likes to share a big can of beer at dinner time. I would think the sugar and alcohol content would be a minor problem since I am type 2. This does not affect my health or blood sugar since I eat healthy and exercise. Over indulging in anything could be an issue?
