Hallo Seelenzeit12, That sounds good. So everything was fine on Wednesday. That makes me very happy for you.
Kind regards
Hi Tricia and welcome to a wonderful group of warriors:):) I have had CLL for 9 plus years...thankfully...no treatments and no major spikes in my counts. The primary symptom I have had from the beginning is the darn fatigue, I sleep 12 hrs a night and often have to lay down for a nap to gain energy back.
I have a couple of lymph nodes that ebb and flow, but never stay enlarged. As we all are so very different, it really is hard to put a time line on symptoms. Just continue to live your life as you have and if something out of the norm is of concern to you, give your doctor a call.
I was your age when I was told I had CLL. My doctor told me not to worry until my white blood cell count reached a special number which he increased every 3 months? I also did not know I was supposed to have low energy so I continued to visit the gym and jog? What I was missing was information to help me decide which steps to take for better health. After 10 months I had 75,000 WBC and not problems. I requested medication to prevent organ damage from bad cells. Medication does not cure leukemia. medication only controls the bad cells by inactivating (killing?) bad cells. The medication is expensive $15500 per month and a co-payment of $4000 is possible. My medical people applied for a grant from Leukemia Society and it pays the co-payment. I have learned much reading comment here and using the resource section for information. I understand how the medication works "BTK Inhibitor" and newer medications which use "BCL2" to control bad cells. Medication works but I still have low energy? Medication has possible ill affects but I was not affected with any ill affects. I read CURE magazine 9/24 and it mention new ill affects like high blood pressure or brain fog? I am waiting for this to happen? I hop you are eating healthy and exercising which does benefit people who have leukemia. This illness is a long term healthy issue and you may have it for 10, 20 or long years? I hope your summer is healthy and happy. Celebrating Long Life (CLL)
