I do not like the word "remission" because the medication or treatment can only "control" the bad cells which may mutate and return in the future? I take medication and my white blood cell count is 7,100. I know the medication attacks bad cells and that control of the bad cells can be lost when the cells mutate and the medication become ineffective. There are many other medications that use different methods to control the bad cells so control of bad cells can be reestablished. One day there may be a cure and testing and approval of new medications bring the possible cure closer every year.
