I was diagnosed with CLL/SLL since 2018 and started Imbruvica a couple months later. I have been on a CPAP machine for about a month after a home sleep study test reflect that I have sleep apnea. I am waiting for a referral to go overnight to a sleep lab due to me continually having apnea while using the CPAP machine. I have used various types of masks and nothing helps. My AHI score was 12.5.

I don't think it is related to this type of cancer. I would imagine it
might be more related to lung cancer but of course O2 is vital to our
entire body so maybe it could be. It's really hard to keep the cpap
sterile.

Yes, sleep apnea is a common comorbidity (co-occurring condition) of leukemia. When people with leukemia develop obstructive sleep apnea, they are much more likely to experience sleep disruptions and insomnia. Since you're still experiencing apnea despite using the CPAP machine, the overnight sleep study is a good next step. This detailed study can help identify specific issues affecting your sleep and breathing patterns, which can lead to more effective treatment adjustments. The sleep lab may be able to help fine-tune your CPAP settings or suggest alternative solutions for better symptom management.

Thank you for your response. I believe the MyLeukemiaTeam seems to believe it does relate to Leukemia (see their post above). I am finding that so many of the medical issues that I am experiencing seem to relate to my cancer or treatment. The CPAP machine does require a lot of cleaning. It's a lot of work to keep it clean.
