Treatment depends on the type of skin cancer. Topical cream is used for pre cancer cells. My husband has had several squamous over the years. Last month he had his 5th Mohs procedure on his face/forehead by a skin cancer specialist who also performed the repair work. Prior to the Mohs, he tried the cream that didn't work. Dermatologist froze the area that didn't work. Then dermatologist did a scraping for biopsy. Positive for squamous. His dermatologist cut off raised squamous that was on his forearm. I was strongly urged to keep yearly skin checks by my hematologist. I use Elta MD facial moisturizer with 45 SPF. So far, I haven't had any issues - knocking on wood. Hope this helps.

There are 3 large spots on my forearms. I always wear long sleeves to cover them. My appointment is on 16th so I’ll find out my options then. Thanks for your input. I wish you all the best!! I’ll let you know what is decided.
