Common side effects from leukemia treatments can include:

• Fatigue and weakness
• Nausea and vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Skin rashes
• Headaches
• Joint and muscle pain
• Memory issues/trouble concentrating
• Eye problems
• Respiratory issues Here are some tips for managing treatment side effects:

1. Always communicate openly with your healthcare team about any new or worsening symptoms - don't hesitate to ask questions or report concerns
2. Keep a symptom journal to help doctors monitor side effects and take action quickly
3. Stay physically active as tolerated - this can actually help reduce fatigue
4. Work with your doctor to adjust medication dosages if needed to find the right balance between effectiveness and side effect management
5. Consider both prescription and holistic approaches recommended by your healthcare team

Remember that many side effects become less noticeable or fade over time. Your oncology team can provide specific guidance for your situation.

It is good to finally see "brain fog" listed as an ill affect from a treatment. I think if a person does not have a treatment they can still have brain fog since those bad cells do attack the nervous system including the brain.
