With my 13 years dealing with the ups and downs of leukemia, from diagnosis to treatments, even while in remission, it still surprises me in how CLL affects either this part of my body for awhile, and then decides to make my life even more challenging by affecting a different part for what seems to be at its own amusement.
I guess since 'blood' is pretty much the gasoline and oil that makes our body operate... CLL pretty much can throw at monkey wrench into any part of our operating systems. (is that a guy metaphor or what).

And now that I think of it, my optometrist takes note that I have/had CLL, and seems to give more value to my checkups. Even my dentist asks if I'm still in remission.

I have my appointment with my oncologist in a week, if I remember, I'll ask him your question.

You can frilly ask any questions you have , at the top of page with QA as that is questions and answer area, as well, and they will answer 'right away.' We can too of course, but we will no be maybe as exact in answers We can share what we have found a problem ,and help each other this way, but the other way, is quite accurate, That was a wonderful question! Many of us may never have thought of it being linked together and yet did notice changes going on!

Yes, it can affect eyesight. Dry eyes and trouble with vision when driving, etc.. and other problems can occur. Best to speak with your own physician and even an Eye Doctor ,to see what they would suggest.

Hi Betty. Glad that you will be seeing a ophthalmologist. I see mine yearly for a very thorough exam. And, yes, as he mentioned to me when I told him I had CLL...people with CLL and other cancers, are more prone and at risk of developing eye problems.
