Has anyone become lactose intolerant while on medication. I take Speycel.

I had not had a problem with lactose but I did develop a strange cough? My doctors could not help me for 7 months so I stopped taking my medication. It took a month for the cough to stop and then I began my medication at 50% dose with no change in my white blood cell count (7200.)
