Hi Elizabeth, yes they are still using venetoclax, I received it in hospital with my IV infusions ( Last September) sent home with it as a daily ( Im doing oral chemo at home) kept it with my first 5 days of Inqovi then off at the 28 day mark. Im not on it at present. My cells LOVE it so much they have drunken orgies and are too tired to work, so now Im just on Inqovi and atm Im off that. I had no gross side effects just battered cells. I'm in the W&W cycle of the 28on 28off. Mich

Țhanks for your reply Elizabeth. I agree with you, some discomfort is worth being able to stop taking medicine in 12 months. I will also drink 3 liters of water a day. I’m already drinking a lot with the calquence.

Yes I am to start allopurinol 2 days before Venetoclax as well. Fingers crossed that it does the trick.

I’m getting ready to start the same treatment after 2 1/2 years of w&w. Starting with calquence for a few months then adding venetoclax for 12 months. My Dr has prescribed allopurinol to help prevent TLS. Not sure, but I think I start taking it with the calquence. Will find out next week before I start.

I’m presently on Calquence and they are introducing Venetoclax next week. Thus the question I posted. These 2 drugs together are considered the gold standard for CLl.
