Would duloxetine work in a situation that pregab and gabapentin have been relatively ineffective. 2 years after BMT, contracted shingles.

I was diagnosed with AML in 2020 and was treated throughout that year, with many ups-and-down along the way. BMT in late 2020. Contracted shingles in 2022 after being off Acyclovir for short period. I have had horrific (at times) nerve pain from thumb/index finger up arm to shoulder all day-every day since. I get my stem cell transplant may 1st for my AML but I will be doing chemo and radiation, why did they take you off of valacylovir? Just asking because they told me the immune system takes over 2 years to be 100%

Not sure. I did all treatments up in Milwaukee. Moved to TN in 2022 and had to switch oncologists. We had so many pills to take and this was one we thought we could do without. Now he said I am on it for life :)
