Is ivermectin used to treat leukemia?
Ivermectin is not a recognized or approved treatment for leukemia. The standard treatments for leukemia include:
- Chemotherapy
- Targeted therapy
- Immunotherapy
- Stem cell transplant
- Radiation therapy
- Clinical trials
These treatments have been studied extensively and proven effective for different types of leukemia. Some people may also follow a "watch and wait" approach for certain chronic forms like CLL.
It's important to discuss any treatment questions with your healthcare team. They can recommend evidence-based therapies that are safe and effective for your specific type of leukemia. Using unproven treatments could be risky and may interfere with standard care that could help you.
If you're interested in exploring new treatment options, ask your doctor about clinical trials that might be available to you.
