After doing some of my own research, I have begun taking Magnesium and two Electrolyte pills daily and leg stretches before bed. The cramps have been significantly reduced for me. I also find that when I change shoes, my cramps are more prevalent. I would appreciate knowing what others have done to alleviate this problem
I have reduced my electrolytes to one tablet a day and the pharmacist that provides my Calquence also suggested I drink Coconut water. I have been doing so daily and have no more cramps. I hope to whittle down the other meds soon and see if the coconut water alone can alleviate the cramps. Right now, I am very happy and love no more cramps!!
I don't have treatment yet, but what helps me with my leg cramps is, staying hydrated, being active but not overdoing it, and taking an OTC supplement, called leg cramps. It is always good to check with your doctor before adding any OCT or other supplement to your daily meds. Best of luck to you!
It is unfortunate that you are having this pain. You are the first one I have heard that shared this. I had incredibly painful lower leg pain when first diagnosed oncology didn't seem to think it was related to CLL, but I am convinced it is. I took imbruvica right away. Off it now. My leg pain did go away when I was on steroids in hospital when initially diagnosed. Pain has not returned but I do believe it was related to CLL. Hope and pray your get relief.
