NSAID's will definitely throw your entire gut biome off Duane. I can't even take them and a ton of other OTC and prescribed meds as my stomach & immune system are greatly affected. Glad that you are on the mend!

No stomach pains but I seem to have a very good appetite because all my meals are bigger than in the past?

Have had some digestive pain. Believe I was using too much NSAID medication. Better after stopping

Yes, stomach pain is something many people with CLL experience, and you're definitely not alone in this. With numbers like yours, it makes total sense that things feel rough right now.

Stomach pain and bloating in CLL can come from a few different sources:

- An enlarged spleen or liver pressing on surrounding organs
- Feeling full quickly after eating only small amounts
- Side effects from treatments like targeted therapies or immunotherapy
- Slowed digestion due to fatigue and reduced activity
- Dehydration from not feeling well enough to eat or drink enough

One MyLeukemiaTeam member shared, "My tummy is swollen because of my spleen," which is a really common experience at this stage. With a hemoglobin of 7, the anemia alone can make everything feel harder — fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath are all part of that picture. Your care team may discuss options like supplements or a blood transfusion to help bring those levels up.

Please make sure to tell your oncologist specifically about the stomach pain. They can figure out the exact cause and adjust your treatment plan or recommend something to ease the discomfort. Don't suffer in silence — that's what they're there for!
