I thought about the same thing. I’m glad you bought this up. I know some days I do not get on the site due to not feeling well or is very busy with appointments or other things. on July 9 I will be having a hip replacement so please keep me in your prayers so I may be absent for a little while.

I agree with you Jo. I have lost touch with many who no longer post or passed away.
All we can do is post when we are going offline or to hospice care, then people could figure it out. Thank you for bringing this up. 🧡

Guys, this was a real good question as I have been off line for sometime and just starting to look for old friends. Al can't keep friends in touch. Hope everyone is stable and enjoying checking with others. The site isn't working like before as I click to see someone, it isn't acknowledging me.

I too have had times when posting just doesn't get done. I'm the only one who knows I come here. So, my family would not have any idea to come and update if something happens to me.
I also know that people go back to their life if they start doing better--so posting isn't something they do as much anymore. Good topic to discuss, I'll try to remember to be a better friend and keep you all updated.--jmb

My brother, Fred Mahlon, passed away on June 7, 2026. He introduced me to the MyLeukemiaTeam. He had CLL and our nephew also. Both passed away just over six months apart.
My abdominal lymph nodes began enlarging which was seen on a CT scan for diverticulosis compared to a scan done 2 years earlier. I was not pleased with the first plan of treatment, so I went for a second opinion. I liked the "common sense" approach of a needle biopsy to see if it was still CLL or had it transitioned to another form of lymphoma or cancer. It was still CLL. The doctor is treating with Calquene, and the lymph nodes are shrinking per another recent CT scan.
