I’m getting ready to start drug treatment for CLL after 8 years of wait and watch. I just started with a new oncologist and she is sending me to see about a drug therapy trial. Has anyone had experience with this?
How do I approach my Dr to get them to understand. I can't force myself to eat
When I do my stomach hurts I snack all day. I also am diabetic and some of the things that they want me to eat I can't. How do I explain so they understand.
I'm 51. My WBC is 63,000 my Lymphocytes are 54. When does treatment usually start. Why not treat now instead of waiting till it progresses. Very Confusing. Thx
My girlfriend, 64, is a previous leukemia patient and survivor. She also has some neurological issues that affect her memory. This, coupled with the fact that she was also very sick with leukemia, makes it difficult for her to recall some of the details of the time span in which she was sick.
My girlfriend gets exhausted quickly, which we attribute in part to her past illness, but she also has a lingering neuropathy problem.

I have been on Imbruvica for about 1 month now for CLL. When my WBC count hit 68 in mid March 2020, the doctor put me on it. 2 weeks after starting the drug my WBC count was 95. Today I had another blood test and it is up to 111. I spoke with the oncologist today and he said to not be alarmed and to expect a spike when starting the Imbruvica for the 1st month or 2 (it can double according to him), but after that it should drop dramatically.
