CML

CML

Has anyone taken tasigna? If so what side effects are you having or had and do they ever ease up or disappear. I start this pill next week and I'm scared. I was diagnosed in July 19 with CML and was on sprycel but had so much fluid retention got lots of fluid in my lungs so my doctor took me off of it. I was lucky though in a short time with sprycel my numbers went down to undetected and that was the only side effect. But man what a bad side effect. Feels like your drowning. Any help is… read more

Does Oral Chemo For Cm L Cause Tingling Of Anyone Else's Hands?

Does Oral Chemo For Cm L Cause Tingling Of Anyone Else's Hands?

I have been on Sprycel 100mg every day for 6 months after a Gleevec failure. I have noticed lately that anytime my hands/arms/legs/feet are sedentary, even for the smallest amount of time, it feels like they fall asleep and start tingling. Is there anyone else that experiences this? What is it? Side effect of the chemo? I thought perhaps nerve damage but I take nerve pain medication and it still happens.

My husband has been having the same problem. He thought it was just because of working more than he should. Thanks for the insight.

Adding Hair Color And Chemo!

Adding Hair Color And Chemo!

Has anyone dyed there hair with a vegetable dye or henna dy and does it work? The doctor says my hair would start to fall out if I used a regular hair color on it and even though they say my chemo isn’t causing my hair loss I don’t want to make it worse because it’s right in the front. I have a gray stripe that really makes it worse so I was just wondering. Also I’m on Bosulif 400 mg.

I highlight every three months and I have no problems with hair falling out. My hair has thinned anyway during the last 10 years. The highlights give it body.
I take Sprycel 100 mgs.

Has Anyone Else Gone Into Remission With CML?

Has Anyone Else Gone Into Remission With CML?

I was told it's incurable and now they're saying since the leukemia hasn't been showing in my blood tests for two years that they can take me off chemo pill (sprycel) and just check me to see if it comes back. Anyone else do this and what happened? I'm truly scared to go off. Help anyone?
