You should always get advise from your doctor. I’m seeing a hematology oncologist at Mayo and I’m in the wait and watch stage with no treatment. He has advised me to get the vaccine as long as it’s not a live vaccine. Pfizer and Moderna are not live vaccines so they’re ok. (Astra-Zeneca is a live vaccine so for the time being don’t take this one). I’m scheduled to get the vaccine this Wednesday and I’m hoping to participate in a Mayo study that tracks antibody strength every 3 months after the immunizations. Hope that helps

My Oncologist/Hematologist said he wanted me to take the CoVid vaccine but you should check with your Doctor. I do have CLL also.

4th day since first vaccine shot. Arm hurt first night, but improved by morning and now is fine. No other side effects at this time.
Haven’t been able to make second shot appointment yet and am concerned that this may be problematic if there is a vaccine shortage. Whole vaccination process was not well planned.

I got my first Covid vaccine shot today So far only side effect is normal mild arm soreness just like a normal flu shot. I’ll keep everybody advised as I go through the process. After the second shot I’m hoping to go through a Mayo Clinic study of CLL patient’s response.
